Exam anxiety and pacing: what am I still missing?

I understand the broad rule for exam anxiety and pacing, but I still hesitate when two options seem reasonable. I know I need to focus on a repeatable reset that returns attention to the task and decisive cue. I also catch myself waiting to feel completely calm before making a decision. Which cue would you use to break the tie?

The most useful starting point is a repeatable reset that returns attention to the task and decisive cue. If that is not clear, slow down before comparing the answer choices.

I would keep the practice narrow: use one slow exhale, identify the task, identify the cue, and commit. That gives you something observable to review after the set.

A common trap is waiting to feel completely calm before making a decision. Naming that pattern before practice can make it easier to catch in the moment.

Try explaining the decision out loud in one sentence. The explanation should connect directly to a repeatable reset that returns attention to the task and decisive cue.

I would bring this to RN review with one example where the framework worked and one where it still felt ambiguous.
