Structured guessing: what am I still missing?

I understand the broad rule for structured guessing, but I still hesitate when two options seem reasonable. I know I need to focus on eliminating options that violate safety, scope, sequence, or the task in the stem. I also catch myself inventing missing information to make a familiar option work. Which cue would you use to break the tie?

The most useful starting point is eliminating options that violate safety, scope, sequence, or the task in the stem. If that is not clear, slow down before comparing the answer choices.

I would keep the practice narrow: choose the remaining option with the clearest connection to the available cues. That gives you something observable to review after the set.

A common trap is inventing missing information to make a familiar option work. Naming that pattern before practice can make it easier to catch in the moment.

Try explaining the decision out loud in one sentence. The explanation should connect directly to eliminating options that violate safety, scope, sequence, or the task in the stem.

I would bring this to RN review with one example where the framework worked and one where it still felt ambiguous.

The plan sounds sustainable. Recheck it after several sets and look for whether inventing missing information to make a familiar option work is happening less often.
