Maternity warning signs: what am I still missing?

I understand the broad rule for maternity warning signs, but I still hesitate when two options seem reasonable. I know I need to focus on normal progression, maternal stability, fetal response, and the first protective action. I also catch myself treating expected discomfort and new danger as equally urgent. Which cue would you use to break the tie?

The most useful starting point is normal progression, maternal stability, fetal response, and the first protective action. If that is not clear, slow down before comparing the answer choices.

I would keep the practice narrow: compare a normal finding with a change that requires immediate follow-up. That gives you something observable to review after the set.

A common trap is treating expected discomfort and new danger as equally urgent. Naming that pattern before practice can make it easier to catch in the moment.

Try explaining the decision out loud in one sentence. The explanation should connect directly to normal progression, maternal stability, fetal response, and the first protective action.

I would bring this to RN review with one example where the framework worked and one where it still felt ambiguous.

The plan sounds sustainable. Recheck it after several sets and look for whether treating expected discomfort and new danger as equally urgent is happening less often.
