How are you practicing pharmacology safety this week?

I want a focused way to practice pharmacology safety without adding another resource. My plan is to group medications by the risk the nurse is trying to prevent. I will review whether I used class-level risks, hold parameters, interactions, and the nursing assessment before administration and note whenever I was memorizing medication names without connecting them to patient harm. What would you add or simplify?

The most useful starting point is class-level risks, hold parameters, interactions, and the nursing assessment before administration. If that is not clear, slow down before comparing the answer choices.

I would keep the practice narrow: group medications by the risk the nurse is trying to prevent. That gives you something observable to review after the set.

A common trap is memorizing medication names without connecting them to patient harm. Naming that pattern before practice can make it easier to catch in the moment.

Try explaining the decision out loud in one sentence. The explanation should connect directly to class-level risks, hold parameters, interactions, and the nursing assessment before administration.

I would bring this to RN review with one example where the framework worked and one where it still felt ambiguous.
